Kununurra Backpackers has 19 rooms and can fit up to 74 people.  There are 4 bed dorms, 8-10 bed dorms, double and twin rooms. The rooms all have ceiling fans and air-conditioning as it's hot all year round. All amenities are shared. They offer a range of facilities, large fully equipped kitchen, Free WIFI, laundry room, TV room Foxtel and DVD. There is the possibility of getting work through the hostel if you are after fruit picking jobs or local work in the tourist industry. Kununurra is the perfect for those wanting to explore the Kimberly region. With the Gibb River road, Lake Argyle, Elquestro, and the Bungle Bungles all within a short drive from the town center.

It's  recommended arriving from March as the placement system works on a first come first served basis, however you need to be prepared for the possibility of a few weeks wait until the farming starts as this is all dependent on the weather.  For those not requiring their farming days or whilst waiting for farm work to start, there is hospitality and retail work, especially during the tourist season which is mainly from June onwards.
