Fruit Picking Jobs Griffith This town has work for backpackers most of the year, it is located 600 kms from Sydney which is the capital city of New South Wales. There are other Fruit Picking towns in New South Wales but Griffith is the one which has the most jobs for fruit pickers. Griffith has a population in excess of around 40 000. It is an area which has a lot of fruit picking work for backpackers and the backpacker accommodation in the area is setup for fruit pickers. The area is near the Murrumbidgee River and has many fine restaurants and Winery's.

Griffith produces 1/5 of Australians wine and is famous for its Grape - Picking, Stone Fruits, Onion, Citrus, Tomatoes, Vegetables, Grape - Pruning. The surrounding areas produce cereal grains,sheep and cattle. Griffith has a large amount of employment opportunities and is well serviced for sesonal workers and backpackers wishing to come to the area.

How to get to Griffith from Sydney or Melbourne

Sydney; if you want to go by train from central station to Griffith the train usually arrives around at 5.00pm in Griffith. There is a regular Rex Airlines service from Sydney

Melbourne; Grayhound buses go through Griffith and you can catch this bus at the main bus depot, there is a regular Rex Airlines service also.
